The Victoria chapter of Big Brothers and Big Sisters does not have a thrift shop but the volunteers have been fund raising by holding periodic garage sales (in the covered garage! - check usedvictoria garage sale section) at the Bay Street premises and also online via Maxsold.

Langford: Nifty Thrifty status change
It is reported on Facebook pages that the organisation that opened and operated the Nifty Thrifty shop in Langford has sold the shop and it has reopened as a private thrift shop.
As it apparently is no longer operated by a charity, it will be removed from listings.

Westbank/West Kelowna: New shop - Kelowna Gospel Mission
The Kelowna Gospel Mission which currently operates a thrift shop in Rutland (the former MCC location) will be opening a second shop located in Westbank / West Kelowna in mid August 2021.
Location will be at 1747 Ross Road, just off the highway and very conveniently almost adjacent to Habitat for Humanity's Restore

Nanaimo: Closure Salvation Army furniture thrift shop
The Salvation Army in Nanaimo closed its furniture outlet on Mostar Road. The premises and operations has been assumed by the Habitat for Humanity chapter.

Victoria: Beacon Community thrift at Quadra - small move
The Beacon Community Services thrift shop at Quadra and Hillside moved south to 2644 Quadra at the end of January a few doors to slightly-larger premises. The new location also has off-street parking.

Cloverdale: New Salvation Army Shop
The Salvation Army will be opening a new thrift shop in the Cloverdale neighbourhood at 5630 176 Street. The shop will open Thursday 28 January 2021.
