The Kelowna branch of the SPCA had a private operator that used to run two shops. One closed because it contravened land use regulations.  The other closed last year due to sale of the building where the remaining shop was located.  The operators have not been able to find new premises due to high rental rates and, as a result, have decided not to continue their efforts to reopen.
