Sidney: Beacon Community Services

One of the Beacon Community Services thrift shops in Sidney has moved.  The shop that sells clothes, shoes and books/media located on 3rd Street (adjacent to the annex which sells housewares and collectibles) has moved across the street (same side as the SPCA).

SIdney/North Saanich - All Things Marine thrift shop

At the north end of the Saanich peninsula next to the Swartz Bay ferry terminals is the thrift shop of the Maritime Museum of B.C.  All Things Marine sells marine-related items to benefit the Maritime Museum.  Opening times are limited; just Friday and Saturday 10-15h. 

There's lots of marine hardware and marine-related gear: charts, maps, books, magazines, electronics, parts, sails, life jackets.....

The thrift shop is somewhat obscure and hidden.  To find it, turn left at the marina, go past the stop sign and straight across the boat yard..  Signs are posted on opening days.

Surrey/Cloverdale: The Tool Box

A new thrift shop benefiting the Surrey Hospice Society has opened in Cloverdale.  It's open Tuesday to Saturday.

This shop may be in addition to the one jointly operated with the Surrey Frefighters at King George Highway at 71st Avenue.

While there, take advantage of the walking proximity to thrift shops of Eversafe Ranch, Inn for Women and the SPCA.
