I am revamping my thrift shop listings so it is better focused on given areas.
Vancouver Island has been divided into great Victoria, southern Vancouver Island (Mill Bay to Chemainus) + Gulf Islands, central Vancouver Island (Ladysmith to Qualicum + Port Alberni), and northern Vancouver Island (Courtenay and north)
The Okanagan has been divided into northern Okanagan and Shuswap (Vernon and north to Salmon Arm and Sicamous), central Okanagan (Winfield to Peachland) and southern Okanagan (Osoyoos to Summerland)
For the lower mainland, presently the Tri-Cities of Port Coquitlam, Coquitlam and Port Moody has been grouped into one. North Shore to Whistler will remain

Reviews of some Victoria Xmas sales
We went to a few thrift sales in the Victoria area the past few Saturdays. Though these sales are generally known for crafts (mainly kniting), baked goods, silent auctions of donated services and goods, some of them also have thrift items.
The best one that we've been to is St Aidan's United Church in Saanich whch has a good amount of donated goods for sale (as well as having a thrift shop in the basement).
We went to the Anglican church of St. Peter and St. Paul in Esquimalt (originally a sailor's chapel) which had a small variety of donated goods, as did Christ Church cathedral (at the church's school). St. Andrew's Presbyterian also had a sale in its Kirk Hall (above the basement thrift shop). Just nothing for us except baked goods. Nothing seems to beat thrift sales at Catholic schools in our experience, or perhaps the area's church congregation demographic is generally older and leaner on world possessions..
To round off the day, we visited Knox presbyterian church in Saanich which hosted a cat rescue society's sale. It would appear that a lot more donations are made for cats than older protestants.

Victoria: ReStore Burnside
I visited the new Habitat for Humanity ReStore in the Burnside neighbourhood. The premise was a Home Hardware.
Lots of furniture here, and quite a lot of inventory. Fewer hardware (cabinets, doors, windows) than Langford though.
Always worth a visit.
